Planning to study over 6 months
You have to apply student visa. It is necessary to apply certificate of eligibility before you apply visa. Furthermore, please note that the deadline is unexpectedly early. |
Planning to study within 90 days
"Short term" means the case that you study on temporary visitor visa (Period of stay: within 90 days). Please note you can not work because of temporary visitor. In principle, you can not change visa status from temporary visitor to student in Japan. |
Planning to get visa other than student or temporary visitor
Entrance procedure is comparatively easy for those who intend to get visa other than student and tourist(temporary visitor). |
The Japanese examination
| Sometimes the immigration bureau requires to pass the official Japanese language test as a qualification to apply student visa. |
